Hands-On Learning

The Bandier Program curriculum provides for extensive hands-on learning opportunities on and off campus. Here are the three main ways you can gain valuable experience for academic credit:

Internships
The Bandier Program’s EMI Center for Internship, Mentoring and Career Development oversees three credit-bearing internships for each student (including a placement in London if you take the fall semester of your senior year there). Major market internships are encouraged, and networking help is provided by the EMI Center.

On-Campus Practica
Students in the Bandier Program pursue on-campus independent study in an environment of their choosing. These are just a few of the ways you can earn credit:
Faculty-Led Learning Laboratories
Syracuse University Recordings and Marshall Street Records, our student-run record labels, are two examples of how you can gain additional practical experience. You also work with faculty to build working models of public relations, booking, and promotion firms.
